Initiated in 2020, Seed to Sustainable is a pilot project which converts locally-grown, unsold farm produce grown by under-represented farmers in the Denver Metro Area into value-added retail products.
In response to the exacerbated challenges of underserved growers, makers and small business owners highlighted by the pandemic, Hampden Farms aligned with local business to sustain and accelerate their profitability through value added products and crops.
The primary goal for Seed to Sustainable is to strengthen our local food system’s capacity through a diverse agricultural entrepreneurial ecosystem that addresses food security and community wealth building.
